About This Kaupapa

In partnership with Para Kore we bring a night of connection and reclamation.

A FREE wānanga for tamahine, wāhine and their whānau. Nau mai haere mai tāne ma!

This wānanga invites whānau to reconnect with the traditional Māori worldview of ikura (menstruation), exploring its whakapapa, sacredness, and connection to atua wāhine. It introduces reusable ikura products, explores their environmental benefits, and supports whānau to reclaim and normalise conversations and practices around ikura.

Share whānau, this one isn't to be missed!

Ngā mihi Jamie from Parakore for bringing this kaupapa to the whare.

Check out Para Kore online for their amazing in strengthening whanaungatanga and connection to Papatūānuku through education, resourcing and support.
