About This Kaupapa
Muka o te Ao: Muka the World
A small group wānanga focused on learning and practicing the process of extracting muka.
Facilitated by Julz + tiAki raranga, this kaupapa supports you to reconnect with customary practice, whakapapa, and intergenerational mātauranga through hands-on learning.
Together, the rōpū will explore the process of muka extraction and kōrero about how muka can be brought back into whānau life, creative practice, and traditions.
This wānanga honours the slow, careful, and collective nature of learning. It is suitable for adults who are new to muka, as well as those wanting to reconnect with the practice in a supported space.
All materials are provided unless otherwise advised.
