Join us for Day Two of Oranga Taiao – Tūāpapa with Para Kore at Whare Hau Tutū.

This wānanga continues the kaupapa by looking more closely at what is actually going into our rubbish and how we can make better decisions before waste reaches landfill.

We’ll explore Arotakenga Para | Waste Check, which focuses on what is found in rubbish collections and what that tells us about how well our waste systems are working. Waste checks help identify how much of what we throw away could have been recycled, composted, fed to animals, reused, or avoided altogether. This gives clear, practical next steps for homes, workplaces, marae and community spaces.
