About This Kaupapa
Granny Kath was one of our very first members in 2024. Her time in the whare was for her own hauora, collecting and sharing stories of her whānau and her memories. Creating books and journals and sharing kōrero of her journeys overseas, many experiences and cultures she encountered and the importance of whānau with everyone she connected with in the Whare. We are blessed to have been given koha from Granny Kath to provide a free community session, for you to come and create your own way of telling your stories, through Junk Journalling activities. What is Junk Journalling? 📖 A Journal Like No Other
Unlike a blank diary, a junk journal is layered with textures, colours, and personal keepsakes that capture your memories.
🌿 Sustainable Creativity
Junk journalling is about re-using and re-imagining what you already have – giving old paper, packaging, fabric or photos a new life.
