About This Kaupapa
Join Kiri for a creative wānanga where words become taonga. Stitch & Sign is about slowing down, learning simple embroidery stitches, and reflecting on whakataukī, kupu or kaupapa. Using scrap fabric and thread, you’ll create a personal wall hanging that weaves together creativity, wellbeing, and a little bit of zazz.
What to expect:
A gentle 👀 introduction to embroidery and playing with fabric
Time to stitch your chosen whakataukī , kupu or kaupapa onto fabric
Space for chilling and sharing with others
A taonga to take home and think about contributing to a collective showcase at the end of the year
