Wānanga Kōwhaiwhai – Exploring Story, Design & Mahi Toi
Nau mai, haere mai ki tēnei wānanga kōwhaiwhai with Jayden Hokianga and the Whare Hau Tutū whānau.
Over two days, we’ll come together to explore kōwhaiwhai further, its design, systems, and stories, in a warm, collective learning space. This wānanga is about more than technique; it’s about expanding on your understanding of the whakapapa and meaning behind kōwhaiwhai, and how they connect to our own creative expression.
What to expect:
Friday 31st October 6.00pm - 10.00pm: whakawhanaungatanga, kōrero, and exploring design systems, pattern composition and planning of your creative piece.
