Kaupapa o te Rā is about doing, not overthinking. A space for curious beginners & seasoned makers.
Service Description
Kaupapa o te Rā is a new offering at Whare Hau Tutū. A straight-up making space for people who want to get in, get their hands moving, and focus on a set medium alongside others. Each three-hour session centres on one material or practice. This isn’t a facilitated workshop and there’s no step-by-step teaching. It’s a shared creative environment where you show up, give it a go, and see what comes through. Basic materials and a starting point are provided; the rest is up to you and your own pace. Kaupapa o te Rā is about doing, not overthinking. It’s a space for curious beginners, seasoned makers, and anyone keen to try something different in good company. We’re also open to ideas for future mediums and welcome creatives who want to bring their practice into the whare and share it with the community - kōrero mai! Come make. Stay focused. Leave with something you shaped.
